Mitsui Ocean Cruises is a new luxury Japanese cruise line launched by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines in October 2023, with its flagship vessel Mitsui Ocean Fuji (formerly Seabourn Odyssey) entering service on December 1, 2024. It represents Japan's first all‑suite, ultra‑premium cruise experience infused with traditional “omotenashi” hospitality combined with Western luxury standards.

The line specializes in immersive Japan-centric voyages, typically ranging from 5 to 12 days in duration. Initial itineraries, running through January 8, 2025, included six inaugural cruises departing from Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Nagoya, and other regional ports. Destinations include iconic Japanese ports such as Beppu, Shingu, Kochi, Takamatsu, Kagoshima, Hiroshima, and seasonal festival-themed sailings timed with events like the Nebuta, Bon, and coastal fireworks celebrations. Most itineraries are round-trips aboard Mitsui Ocean Fuji, with occasional one-way crossings, often including side‑visits to South Korea (Jeju, Busan).

The cruises are fully inclusive, covering Wi‑Fi, gratuities, selected beverages, and one half‑day guided shore excursion per port (English‑speaking guides available). Emphasis is placed on Japanese cultural immersion—both onboard and ashore—with cuisine, entertainment, and shore programs reflecting regional flavor and traditions.

• Decks: 11 decks, seven are cabin decks; built by T. Mariotti in Genoa, Italy, launched May 2009; underwent refurbishment under Mitsui in late 2024

Onboard are five dining venues with Japanese-themed names inspired by Mt. Fuji (e.g. The Restaurant Fuji, Hokusai Fine Dining, Terrace Restaurant Hachiyo), plus lounges, a theater, wellness center, pools, whirlpools, and marina café-style casual outlets.
