The Signature Xplorer Tenders

At the heart of Coral Expeditions’ off-ship adventures are its Excursion Vessels. This includes the iconic Xplorer tender – a purpose-designed vessel unique to their fleet. The Xplorer is easily boarded directly from the ship's deck, offering a stable and safe transition for all guests, regardless of mobility level.

Each Xplorer is equipped with padded seating for guest comfort, a sun canopy for protection, and onboard toilet facilities for convenience during longer excursions. A built-in PA system with microphone and speakers allows guides to share expert commentary throughout the journey. With these features, the Xplorer delivers both function and comfort – perfectly suited for daily exploration in remote, hard-to-access locations.

Twin Xplorers on Coral Adventurer & Coral Geographer

Both the Coral Adventurer and Coral Geographer are equipped with two Xplorer tenders, allowing for flexible and efficient group excursions. Guests board from the Coral Deck, where a hydraulic platform gently lowers the Xplorer into the water – a process designed for easy and safe access for all guests.

Each tender is powered by twin 225-horsepower engines, reaching speeds of up to 20 knots, ensuring swift travel to and from shore even in challenging conditions.

Xplorer on Coral Discoverer

Onboard the Coral Discoverer, the single Xplorer is just as efficient and guest-friendly. Guests board directly from the main deck before the hydraulic platform gently lowers the vessel into the sea. With seating for all 72 guests, the Xplorer provides a smooth and accessible experience for all onboard.

Just like on the larger ships, this tender is also fitted with twin 225-horsepower engines and can travel at speeds up to 20 knots, ensuring fast and reliable transit throughout the journey.

More Than Just a Tender – A Key to the Expedition

The Xplorer is more than a means of transport – it’s an extension of the Coral Expeditions experience. Designed to handle a range of conditions while offering maximum guest comfort, these vessels are central to delivering unforgettable daily activities in some of the world’s most pristine regions. Whether navigating shallow reefs, river mouths, or beach landings, the Xplorer tenders help guests get closer to the action – safely, comfortably, and with expert guidance every step of the way.
